What Is It?
Gerunds refers to verb + -ing forms that work as nouns.

Why Use It?

Formation and Patterns

Common Mistakes
- Using an infinitive after a preposition: say "good at writing," not "good at to write."

- Forgetting spelling changes: make -> making, run -> running.

- Some verbs can take either form with a meaning change, such as stop to talk and stop talking.
