Simple Sentences refers to a one-clause sentence that expresses one complete idea with a subject and a verb.

Why Use It?

- Build reliable subject-verb-object order before adding clauses.

Formation and Patterns

Common Mistakes
- Missing the verb: write "The lesson is useful," not "The lesson useful."
- Adding a second full idea with only a comma; use a period, conjunction, or semicolon.
- Forgetting third-person -s in the present simple.

- Simple does not mean short. A simple sentence may have compound subjects, objects, or modifiers.
